New conspiracy theory: conservatives are trying to create laws to ban/censor books because there are parts of the Bible they do not want their constituents reading.

7 months agoIf you want to make money or a cult, target people who take pride in saying they've done their own research. They’re lost contrarians who think listening to others is l research. Once they’re loyal their ego won’t let them leave. Cults and MLMs thrive on mids with opinions.
7 months agoHave you not all checked your calendar re: Henry Kissinger? He’s scheduled for early November this year. I wanted September 11th by a fall, but even I have a boss and they say no one gets to dress up as Kissinger in hell this year. Fucker has a very specific contract.

8 months agoWe don’t want a town square or cafe. We want a dive bar for lonely people and a bartender that doesn’t tolerate nazis or anyone being annoying.
It should be easy/not awkward to say you love or hate what someone is putting out, but hard to make anyone care about your opinion.
Twitter was full of strange people being anonymous, extroverted, and convinced that what they just thought was funny.
The magic of early twitter was that the magic of early tumblr. Horny shitposting that no one at your job or in your family would see. If they did they don’t know it was you anyways.

her dead had guns, so she bought a gun. The people that wanted her dead had political leaders telling them that people like her were coming to take their guns. She didn’t have that. She wasn’t going to run for school board and she wasn’t going to keep voting against the people who wanted her dead.
Amy was tired of voting for people who were more interested in winning over middle-class middle of the road conservatives than helping keep their constituents safe.
Amy bought a gun, but she killed a lot more people without it.
“They drew blood first. They have killed people like me and want more of us dead. This is a slaughter and no one is fighting for us.”
It wasn’t untrue, but it wasn't received well. People replied that they heard her. People replied it wasn’t their fault. Vote. They did vote. They voted more. They had more votes. They lost over and over again because the system was designed in bad faith and her side let it happen because of compromise.
